F3 Snetterton Test 24/25th February 2010
With most of the test being beset by wet conditions and fog, dry running was limited to the afternoon of the second day when Alex showed his potential by recording a lap time just a few tenths off the pace, despite it being his first ever run on new slick tyres. On course to bring his times down further he was thwarted by the last few minutes of the test being lost due to a red flag.
John Miller, Team West-Tec: “Alex has done just four days in Formula 3, almost all of it in wet conditions. This was his first ever new tyre run on F3 slicks, although he has had two new sets of wets! He worked hard to complete the programme though, and showed very well compared to the opposition, improving lap-on-lap despite being denied a final improvement by the last-gasp red flag stoppage.”
After the weekend break Alex will be out again with West-Tec at Rockingham on Monday and Tuesday 1st/2nd March.
Preparing for 2010
Snetterton December
Despite the very cold and wet weather Alex improved his times steadily throughout the day completing more laps than expected. “I was impressed with the Team and pleased with my performance, making more progress in the transition from Formula Ford to Formula 3.” Alex reported at the end of the day.
“I am just looking forward now to finalising our plans so that we can get underway in earnest when testing starts again in February 2010”.

Alex tests at Silverstone with T Sport
"I thoroughly enjoyed both driving the car and working with the T-Sport team. I am looking forward to getting behind the wheel again. I was able to gel quickly with the team and car and managed to put in some very competitive times for my first outing. The performance of the car was very impressive and it was a fantastic experience".
Russell Eacott, Team Manager of T-Sport reported "We are very surprised by Alex's first performances in the Formula 3 car. I think he has a big future ahead of him in Formula 3 and motor sport. He acclimatised very well to the car in far from ideal weather conditions. He gave good technical feedback and showed great ability and discipline in working with the team at this level. We very much hope we can work with him in the future."
Alex is looking forward to having more seat time to gain more experience in Formula 3. He and his team are currently working with potential sponsors and partners for a season in British Formula 3 National Class next season 2010.
