Racing History:
Late starter karting-wise, buying first kart in July 2003. Competed in first full season of racing
2004 at Glan y Gors circuit, Cerrigydrudion, not far from the local beauty spot and popular tourist venue of Betwys y Coed,
North Wales.
Quickly made his mark - on novice plates in only his second race put in the fastest lap time; achieving
four podium places from eight races; winning the Glan y Gors Club Championship in 2005, followed by the Dragonmasters Grand
Prix and the ‘O’ Plate in 2006; plus numerous wins and podium places inbetween.

2008:
- May - Alex moves to Kevin Mills Racing and the Australian Spectrum chassis
- February - Alex is nominated for the WRDA Tom Pryce Award for young Welsh racing drivers
2007:
- Sept - TKM Super 1 Championship Seeded No.8 Alex
winds up his short but highly successful karting career at Shenington Kart Circuit, racing in the final round of the British
TKM Super 1 Championship, securing 8th place overall in the Championship and ranking himself firmly amongst the fifteen seeded
drivers for 2007.
- Formula Ford - Raced in the Scholarship class at the
Croft and Brands Hatch Meetings as a "taster" for next year. Won a race at each of the meetings, making it 2 wins from
first 2 race meetings!
2006:
- September - British National TKM 'O' Plate Champion
- first Welsh driver to win this prestigious title since its inception 15 years ago.
- July - GYG Dragonmasters Grand Prix Champion
- 3 second lead over rest of field
- Gold Cup, Three Sisters - 3rd. Set new
lap record on Valley Circuit of 46.20. Remains unbroken today.
- June - Lap record at Rowrah plus fastest lap
in all three heats.

2005:
- Glan y Gors Club Champion (contested over 10
rounds)
- MBKC Three Sisters Championship - 3rd
(having compted in only 7 out of 10 rounds)
- Gold Cup, Three Sisters - 3rd
- 8 podium finishes from 10 races - 3 wins; 3
runner-up; 2 third places
- August - Three Sisters impressive
win over 9 seconds ahead of the rest of the field

Non-racing facts:
July 08 - Loughborough University confirm that they will further defer entry to
allow Alex to compete in the full British Formula Ford Championship in 2009.
September 07 - Instead of starting his MEng course at Loughborough University,
Alex defers entry for 12 month and starts a "Year in Industry" at Anglesey Aluminium to help fund his Formula Ford racing.
16th August 07 : "It's 'A' grade day" - Alex gets top grades in his A-level subjects
: Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
2005 Nordic Skiing - scaled the Grossen Arber (karting's easier!)
