Kevin Mills Racing was established in 1994 by former Castle Combe Formula Ford Champion and all round Formula Ford legend Kevin Mills. Having reached the end of his own successful racing career, he realized that he could use his skills and expertise to set up team KMR. In it's 11 year history Kevin Mills Racing has gone from strength to strength, winning 12 titles and becoming one of the leading lights in Formula Ford. The team is renowned for producing championship winning cars and drivers.Kevin Mills Racing has enjoyed continual success in Formula Ford 1600. The team first came to light in the UK Formula Ford Championship in 2002 with driver Matt Howson in the Avon Junior Championship.
KMR and Matt took 3 top 5 finishes and finished 8th overall in the series. In 2004 team KMR entered drivers Neil Doran and Stuart Gough in the UK Formula Ford Championship with Neil finishing 2nd overall in the scholarship class, Stuart scoring the teams first overall podium, and between them winning the class eight times.
2005 was arguably the teams most successful season, taking two championship titles in both the Castle Combe FF1600 Championship and the UK Formula Ford Scholarship Cup.Alex has rejoined Kevin Mills Racing for the 2009 British Formula Ford Championship, driving one of its three works-supported Spectrum chassis.
Alex enjoyed a successful maiden season in the Championship's Scholarship Class in 2008, winning the class 6 times - four of those wins at the wheel of a KMR Spectrum."We are very plased to be continuing our relationship with Alex in 2009 and fully expect him to be a Championship contender. KMR will be continuing its development programme with Borland Racing over the winter, in Australia and in the UK, and will be looking to continue our winning form.”
